Theme Inspiration: 10 Hallway decorating ideas!

The hallway is a part of home that should not be ignored. There should be no reason why it could not be stylish and functional at the same time! An entryway makes the first impact and a lovely welcoming decor would take the style quotient up a few notch. Including a console table or dresser, art, and mirror with good lighting will do the trick perfectly!

Do check out a previous post on 15 ways to decorate hallway here.

Good tip for narrow hallway, do not over crowd, take it vertically up. A narrow console table with beautiful assortment of art and lots of wood texture. Interesting and so crisp!

Love the low bench with the focus clearly on the wall display. Sometimes pictures tell so much about the family, conversation starter and personal touch to the decor. Sweet!

A rustic mix of furniture and gorgeous vintage prints! This is vintage chic. The chest is absolutely perfect to catch all your keys, bag, lists etc. Comfortable and clutter free.

Shades of gray look absolutely amazing in combination with white and black! The simple color scheme is easy on the eyes and lets the print art get all the attention. Like the duo design wall too.

A cozy lived in feel to the hallway. Mix of family pictures and art, cheerful bright cushions in floral and warm distressed wood seating. Love the wooden alphabets. Fabulous!

Less is more, few basic furniture and some decorative items. What I love here is the unusual way of stacking the books. Neutral colors widen the space. Can't go wrong with mid-century accent!

If your hallway opens to the main door directly, place mirrors to widen the space and make the most of the natural light. The uncluttered look with lush plant is so inviting. Love the woods!

A narrow space can have perky personality too! This is so unusual and absolutely beautiful. The shades of blue look fantastic on white. Ornate neoclassical crossed with modern maybe..

This is just sweet quirkiness! A not to subtle 'bunny' theme going on here. This is so perfect for Easter!! Did you spy the almost hidden bunny on the wainscot? Cuteness overload! :-)

What an amazing diy! A sure way to impress your guests, just as they walk in. A decoupaged chest and magazine file. Swoon! You could choose your own clip art and check link for instruction!

Theme Design: Polka dots decor ideas!!

Polka dot has been in fashion forever! It is one of those trends that will keep showing up time and again. If you love fun cheerful styling, this is one motif you should consider. Its a plucky happy accent and would look amazing in just about any room.

Polka dot is easy to include in so many decor style, cottage chic, country to chic sophistication. What I specially love about this theme is how easy it is to find accents pieces in a vast color palette. Perfect for those who want a custom feel at department store price!!

Yellow polka dot wall is just the best way to absolutely brighten up any room! A focal wall in cheery color will make it come alive! Perfect boho kitschy twist to boring white :)

If you are looking for a quick way to redecorate a girl's room, polka dots decal is just perfect! Its an easy fix and adds the funky bit of color to the all pink palette here. Love!

A little of blue and white looks great with brown and pink. The bit polka dot is just a right with the solid colors. Polka dots is a nice girly motif, be sure to experiment!

Pink and white is a very popular combination. All white room can be glaring, soften it up by adding polka dots in your favorite colors. It will add a homey feel to the space.

The best way to welcome sunny days in laying out happy colors! The dinner set is just so charming, alternate between colors keeping the pattern same for an interesting look :)

Unusual but so striking, green polka dot refrigerator! If you have a piece of furniture you want to experiment with, get dollar store price stickers and give it a temporary makeover!

A fun little surprise to take off the edge off curtains in solid color. Sheer curtains with dots adds just the right dose of cheer to a little girl's room.

This stylized version of polka dots in black on ivory has a nice touch of sophistication. There is the arm chair in the pattern, but the vase and mirror do mimic the same too.

One good way to use different kinds of pattern is to mix them while keeping the same color combination. It is specially good tip when choosing accents.

This bedroom in decorated in blue and red accent colors. The variety of polka dots, checks and floral. The mix is absolutely gorgeous! Recreating this would be easy too.

Another version of mixing patterns. The tangerine yellow is so gorgeous and a rather unique combination with some lovely shades of blue. The colors are just beautiful!

Baroque is style that will never go out of fashion! Its ornate lines, curves and sheer opulence is seductive. Its dramatic and abundantly stylish, a style that brings a lot of appeal to any space. Check out this theme inspired post for more ideas.

Baroque style decor includes elements like baroque floral inspired wall paper, rugs and upholstery. Gorgeous venetian mirror, and expensive gold and silver accents. Rich texture and color add visual elegance, and it is even called the decor of royalty.

Satiny brown wall and an absolutely stunning baroque style golden headboard. Love the colors together and the acrylic table lamps is the perfect addition. A lovely seamlessly luxurious baroque bedroom!

A really simple to recreate, black and white baroque style living room. A perfectly in sync mirrored side table. Love the play of contrast colors in print. Love the simplicity of execution. Chic!

This is perfect for royalty, and that might just be you! Cherubs, ivory and gold, it cannot get more baroque than this. The gilt and ivory is a posh combination, the ornate lines makes it even more sophisticated.

A lovely Parisian style mantel decorated in baroque style. The symmetry in delftware is soothing and the colors have a subtle elegance. It is so exotic and completely put together. Major envy!

Though the colors here are not actually intense, however the motif on wallpaper is typically baroque style and the curves of sofa also falls in the same decor style. Love the variations of teal and gray. A fav!

The flamboyance of hot pink and black! This is no holds barred styling in two colors. With white as canvas the intense colors look absolutely dramatic and the styling is expensive. So unique!

A beautiful French style home office. The vintage distressed bureau looks perfect against the soft pastel green wall paper. The gilded mirror and gold scrolled arm chair is right out of the era. Vintage opulence.

If you are on a budget but would not like to miss out on the unique decor style, add little accent pieces to your existing decor. A rich silk accent cushion is the perfect way to draw attention to a wing chair.
