Theme Design: Decorating ideas in White!

The color White brightens up any space, it clean, fresh and has oodles of elegance. It is perfect way to perk up decor for airy summer. Beach cottage decor also has lots of shades of white. White color is also perfect for smaller spaces, it created an illusion of bigger dimension and there is something so dramatic about it.

If you want to add just a hint of color, adding pastel is a good option. If you begin with an all white, you could play with different accent colors to keep it updated and fun. It is perfect for rented spaces too. No long term commitment of wall paper and curtains!

Choose different shades of White to create a complex drama. This is a gorgeous bedroom with plush detailing. Perfect decor for modern sophistication. Love!

Just a little of black is perfect to add dimension to an otherwise white decor. Black gives it a depth and breaks the monotony. The zebra print rug is stunning, and balances the colors perfectly!

A comfortable, peaceful corner to relax. All white and cream with lots of natural light makes this almost zen. Easy to swap cushions and rug to refresh the decor anytime. Reading nook idea :)

Whole lot of white, but the interesting lines of furniture makes this living room far from boring. A fresh approach to modern decorating, white linen is actually an easy maintenance too!

Adding hints of soft color, gold here, can elevate the whole decor. The easy elegance is unmistakable, specially like the canopy on vaulted ceiling. Perfect for a princess, so dramatic!

Love this kitchen! The focus is perfectly placed on the blue gas range. Interesting open shelves and white tiles back splash. Chrome pendant lights are an unusual addition. Fabulous!

Traditionally Beach decor uses lots of white. This simple shabby chic bathroom is so charming in its rustic details. Lots of interesting details, but seamlessly unified in White.

Theme Inspiration: 10 Hallway decorating ideas!

The hallway is a part of home that should not be ignored. There should be no reason why it could not be stylish and functional at the same time! An entryway makes the first impact and a lovely welcoming decor would take the style quotient up a few notch. Including a console table or dresser, art, and mirror with good lighting will do the trick perfectly!

Do check out a previous post on 15 ways to decorate hallway here.

Good tip for narrow hallway, do not over crowd, take it vertically up. A narrow console table with beautiful assortment of art and lots of wood texture. Interesting and so crisp!

Love the low bench with the focus clearly on the wall display. Sometimes pictures tell so much about the family, conversation starter and personal touch to the decor. Sweet!

A rustic mix of furniture and gorgeous vintage prints! This is vintage chic. The chest is absolutely perfect to catch all your keys, bag, lists etc. Comfortable and clutter free.

Shades of gray look absolutely amazing in combination with white and black! The simple color scheme is easy on the eyes and lets the print art get all the attention. Like the duo design wall too.

A cozy lived in feel to the hallway. Mix of family pictures and art, cheerful bright cushions in floral and warm distressed wood seating. Love the wooden alphabets. Fabulous!

Less is more, few basic furniture and some decorative items. What I love here is the unusual way of stacking the books. Neutral colors widen the space. Can't go wrong with mid-century accent!

If your hallway opens to the main door directly, place mirrors to widen the space and make the most of the natural light. The uncluttered look with lush plant is so inviting. Love the woods!

A narrow space can have perky personality too! This is so unusual and absolutely beautiful. The shades of blue look fantastic on white. Ornate neoclassical crossed with modern maybe..

This is just sweet quirkiness! A not to subtle 'bunny' theme going on here. This is so perfect for Easter!! Did you spy the almost hidden bunny on the wainscot? Cuteness overload! :-)

What an amazing diy! A sure way to impress your guests, just as they walk in. A decoupaged chest and magazine file. Swoon! You could choose your own clip art and check link for instruction!

Thanksgiving Centerpieces and Wreath: Go Natural!!

Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away! With so much to plan for the Thanksgiving dinner, let me help with the decoration :) Go natural and find inspiration in the selection here to help create you very own personalized centerpiece and wreath. Crafting is a great stress buster and will enjoy the simple pleasure of creating and display.

There are different levels of difficulty but with even a few hours you can make a gorgeous table setting or a simple center piece. Hope you find some inspiration here!

Carve a pumpkin to look like a basket, insert a bowl, place a flower foam. Add flowers and candles, some berries and leaves, done! Its a simple but beautiful craft idea.

Next trip to the farmer's market look for colorful corns. A vintage wire basket, scented pine cones and a bunch of corn is all you would need. Finish with a broad gingham ribbon for a cottage chic appeal!

Fill an egg basket with wheat sheaf. Lay some corn and you have an all natural centerpiece for Thanksgiving table setting. Color coordinate for a more sophisticate look.

This looks like a vase/pot or small bird bath, but use your imagination! Fill some gravel/pebbles, add a few branches of red berry, fall leaves and small thank you notes for the family.

Love this Martha Stewart craft. Corn husk wrapped around dollar store votive and ribbons. Natural texture of husk and soft rose petals together is so unique. Frugal and fun!

Fill tall votive with wild rice or any gains. Add some dry branches, hang string tied small pumpkins. Place them in a mix of pine cones, red berries, pumpkins and moss pebbles. Prettiness!

A simpler version, pillar candles in traditional fall colors, decorative branches/vines, pumpkins and berries. Autumn leaves on the napkins looks absolutely in sync too.

Wheat sheaf look so pretty by themselves. For a minimalistic uber chic look put hem in tapered vase and add color coordinated pillar candles. Sometimes less is more!

A simple table runner decorated with lovely fall elements. A basic candle stand flanked by leaves and fruits. Remember some bold additions can elevate the entire look.

If you have absolutely no time to create or are in a hurry, even a small posy of wild flowers can cheer up the decor. Natural rustic is also a coveted style. Sweet surprise :)

Amazing wreath made of succulents! A mesh cone, fill it with fine gravel and planting medium. Add small succulents and plants. This should thrive the season and plant them in soil when they grow big.

A vintage inspired chicken coop wire and old frame wreath. Staple a piece of wire mesh to an wooden frame. There are so many possibilities, memo card holder, display holiday cards, or earrings holder. Love!

Easter craft and fun activities for kids: Pretty Egg decorations!

Easter is almost here! I have been away, but am back with some interesting ideas for Easter craft!! Dyeing Easter eggs is a beautiful tradition. There are some really cool twists and variations for those looking for new ways to decorate and delight little ones :)

Use a whole variety of things and easy techniques to get these gorgeous colorful eggs ready in no time! Great way to spend evenings and building a family tradition. Ingenious little tips and tricks to create lovely floral designs sans dyeing and absolutely great for different levels of crafting.

Pretty pastel floral designs in glitter!! Use punched designs on ultra-thin double sided tape, peel carefully and dip/sprinkle glitter on them. The best part is how you can go over each pattern individually to create a really colorful design. Easy and quick!

Have you saved up an old magazine/calender with lovely details? Here is an easy way to display and wow everyone! Use dyed eggs or brown eggs, speckle them with some paint (try spraying with a toothbrush with thinned paint) and glue cutouts or stickers on them! Makes for a wonderful centerpiece too :)

If you love polka dots, this is such a cute idea. Open a bobby pin and dip them in colors to create perfect dots. Get creative and let your kids have fun! You can also make use of rubber tipped pencils or top end of paint brushes etc.

Kids love working with white glue! Get lots of colorful craft twine, dip them in white glue and make colorful spirals! Alternatively you could just keep dabbing white glue on the eggs as you go around it. Use lace, wool or colorful threads. These would look great on an egg tree!

My favorite of the lot and so much fun! Use colorful tape (Japanese washi tape) and stick bits of it to create a fun pattern! These colorful tape are no mess and perfect for little fingers too! Add muffin liner in grass pattern and you are all set! Almost addictive ;)

Use rubber bands and masking tape to mark out designs and have fun painting without hassles. Layer your paints and let them dry in between. Love the rustic look and amazing color combination. So fabulous!

Punched designs from card stock make for easy embellishments! Artistic layering of designs for this modern twist to traditional Easter eggs! Love the simplicity and ease of this crafty inspiration :)

Another variation of double sided craft tape! Use thin slivers to create fun pattern, sprinkle them with colorful glitter and place them as centerpiece on your Easter lunch table setting.

Felt or self adhesive foam stickers can be the easiest and absolutely no mess idea for kids! You can use double sided tape or white glue to secure the designs! Pass some green paper through paper shredder to get instant Easter grass :)

Decoupage using white glue and pretty tissue paper. These look so gorgeous and a unique craft project! If you have been looking for some lovely inspiration for Easter holidays this sure deserves a try.

This should help with the supplies and the basic technique! Let your creative juices flow :)

Love these funny quirky egg cozies! Made of felt, these would make perfect Easter gift for friends and co-workers. Whimsical little gem!

Stunning design! Simple punched paper designs have been scoured and placed with such an artistic flair. Beautiful design, this just elevates punched paper craft to a whole new level!

Stuffed cloth eggs. Love the country feel and the fabulous patterns! If you are as much an admirer of country cottage decor. This is perfect for your home. Can't get over the tailor's tape place mat either : P

Use simple floral stickers or punch some pretty designs and decorate plastic/foam eggs in no time! Specially good if you have impatient little ones who are just getting into crafting.

Bright polka dots on rainbow colored eggs! Egg hunting would be so much fun with these bright eggs peeking out from the grass :D

Dainty wild flowers placed in egg shells! Something so simple and stunning. Pick some spring blooms and create a unique centerpiece or decoration for foyer table. Lovely freshness.

Quite out of tune with Easter holiday but these are just so fabulous! Dress up some boiled eggs with tomatoes and olives. A sprig of fresh coriander and some cloves and whole black pepper :D Book mark it for Halloween craft! Kids will squeal with delight!!
