Simple Peony boquet..

 

Spring is my favorite time of year by far!  I love most flowers but my heart is deeply in love with the Peony.  I picked up a simple bunch at the market a few days ago and since then they have become my muse.  So so amazing.  I am a terrible flower arranger so I love that I can simply cut them and pop them into any kind of container and they always look beautiful.

Returning from France...

 

Arriving home from a long trip can be bitter sweet.  I love traveling and seeing amazing things but I love being at home with my family more so.  I was so glad to get back to the California sunshine and my sweeties!  I am spending the day getting up to speed, organizing and answering emails and messages!  Looking forward to sharing our buying trip with you and some of the amazing pieces and places we found!

Flowers of Giverny

 

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I spent some much needed time just relaxing and working on planning my trip.  This time we will not be visiting Giverny, but our last visit was so fun and beautiful I thought I would share it with you today.  My garden has been on my mind lately as I am going to have to start fresh once we are finished with the pool.  I cannot wait to gather more ideas from the beautiful gardens on our upcoming visit.

France once again...

 

It is official... I am getting ready for another trip to Paris in a few weeks and we are bringing back our first container.  I am a little nervous I will admit but excited at the same time.  We will stay in Paris and shop the flea markets there for the first week mixed with much site seeing and relaxing around the city, then it is off to Normandy to shop with Sharon from My French Country Home.  I am so excited to see her again and experience a bit more of her amazing everyday life!

These are just a few of the photos that we snapped on our last trip, some you may have seen and some are new.  I was just going through them and thought I would share some of my current favorites with you.  I have a few more posts lined up from our last adventure to share before we leave too!

Light and bright..

 

I hope you had a lovely weekend.  We spent most of our time outside as it was just beautiful out.  It was nice to not have any plans and have a chance to recharge and daydream a little.  

Another busy week planned here and I feel like I am ready to tackle it!  Bring on Spring I want some more beautiful weather and inspiration please!

I am finding it hard to concentrate on work.  Do you ever have that problem?  There are constant distractions and things that catch my eye.. I promise to be better today! 

I promise to check items off of the list not just read it over and over and pick one item!

Spring please

 

Okay I am ready- when is Spring arriving?  We have been working on the plans for our backyard for weeks and I think we may have gotten it all taken care of..  now the really hard part begins - starting the project and loosing all of the beauty of Spring out there.  I am sure the result will be amazing when we can afford the actual plants but until then it may be a little barren!  I love love this piece and I may have to add a little something out there like this to keep me happy!

How I dream of warmer spring days filled with beautiful mornings, flowers and greenery.  I trust you have enjoyed your weekend my friends?  

I love the feeling of this mixed up space, eclectic and still a possible working environment.  I think that the painting makes it for me and the flowers of course.  I am curious how many of you collect little things like this, I know I do although I try very hard to keep it to a very edited version.  I struggle with the old and the new pieces and typically the old pieces win out because they hold more memories even if they are not all my memories.  Do you pick up little things here and there or do you collect along a theme?

Friday again...

  Wow what a week!  I hope you accomplished everything you set out to do!

There was a lot of running around here and I am not sure I actually completed too many things but any type of progress is always good.  I feel for these sweet blossoms on our tree this week.  With rain coming I cut a few branches to bring inside and enjoy.

white tulips..

 

My goodness did the weekend go quickly?!  I did get my fill of the whole taking care of business though.  Now back to regular work I suppose.

Doesn't it feel good to do a little bit of clean up and organize in your personal life?  Some Saturdays I feel like I spend hours just organizing the mess that my house has become during the week.  Then on Sunday I can take some time for myself, just a smidge though, they certainly don't want me to get spoiled!  

I picked up these tulips for  myself on Friday and finally used one of my favorite little vases. I am so excited for Spring this year and cannot wait for it to warm up and everything to start blooming again, these give me a little something to keep me going.  Usually January is the most difficult month for me to wait through in anticipation of the coming warmer days ahead.  How about you are you ready for Spring to arrive?

Wine bottles...

 

I have a soft spot for the re-purposed  wine jugs.  They are usually such a great natural shape.  I simply adore them with a little grouping of tree branches or full tropical leaves, the perfect accent.

Thanksgiving.. happy

 

We are celebrating our second Thanksgiving here today (this one is from Saturday).  I was so excited to have a few hydrangea left in the garden to grace the table.

falling...

 

I am wishing for a real feeling of fall here in California, it has been so warm.  I love the beautiful colors that even that creates, but it is not quite like cool mornings and snuggling up.  I am ready to wear boots and scarves and snuggly things!
